Our Charities

Starlight Children's Foundation Canada has been brightening the lives of seriously ill children and their families by bringing them joy, laughter and relief, for over 25 years. They focus on the family as a whole, at a time when they feel most isolated, offering programs and events that can provide an escape from the stress of dealing with a serious illness every day.

What makes Starlight unique is that they are there for the entire journey — from hospital to home.

While in-hospital, Starlight provides distraction, entertainment and relief from the stress and boredom of hospitalization. When out-of-hospital, Starlight children benefit from our Day Brightener, Great Escapes and Wishes programs — giving them an opportunity to leave the ‘sick’ behind, create special family memories and return home with a renewed sense of strength and hope.

Big Brothers Big Sisters

Big Brothers Big Sisters of Canada

Consider those people who were role models during your youth and how important they were.

Canadian boys and girls in lone-parent families face the prospect of a childhood without the added guidance and support many of us took for granted. Each donation made to Big Brothers Big Sisters of Canada improves the lives of over 42,000 children across Canada. Everyone wins when you donate. You will feel the satisfaction from making real, concrete changes in the life of a child. Each Big Brother or Sister will feel an equal sense of accomplishment and have a new friend with whom to share time. Most of all, each child we serve will benefit from this new, unique relationship. The impact is unmistakably clear. Our Little Brothers and Sisters are more likely to advance to post-secondary education, and are less likely to rely on social assistance in their adult years. Remember, not only are you helping to raise great children, you will help to shape healthy adults.

Special Olympics Canada

"Let me win, but if I cannot win, let me be brave in the attempt"

It has been said that “ability is nothing without opportunity”, and each of us deserves the opportunity to demonstrate what we are capable of doing. Through the power of sport, Special Olympics Canada provides individuals with an intellectual disability the opportunity to reach their full potential. This powerful sport movement empowers people, changes attitudes and builds strong communities. Your contribution helps pave the way for more than 38,000 Canadian athletes with an intellectual disability to participate in sports training and competition. With the support of more than 17,000 volunteers, Special Olympics Canada delivers grassroots programs through local sport clubs to individuals of all abilities and as young as two years to the mature adult, while extending the opportunity for higher competition at regional, provincial/territorial, national and international levels.

Be a fan of Special Olympics. Join us in enriching the lives of those with an intellectual disability, while making the world a better and more welcoming place. Visit to learn more.
